VEP series couplings are flush face but they also thread together. This feature eliminates premature wear from brinelling of the locking balls in high impulse situations. In addition, the patented internal valve allows connection and disconnection with high residual pressures. The flush face design is easy to clean and also avoids loss of hydraulic fluid during connection and disconnection. C700BOP Series Quick Couplings are designed for use with blow-out preventer systems on drilling rigs. The red colour on both the coupler and the nipple designates that these couplings are B.O.P. fire approved and have been fire tested to 700°C and Lloyds witnessed to meet the API 16D standard.
