C500BOP Heavy-Duty Wing Nut couplings are found in oilfield and mining applications where high pressure, shockload, or external abuse makes other couplings unsuitable. These robust, zinc-plated carbon steel couplings are rated to 5000 psi, allow for bidirectional flow, and come standard with buna-N (Nitrile) seals. The thread-to connect design eliminates brinelling and the cast steel heavy-duty sleeve features an inspection hole allowing the user to ensure a complete connection. C500BOP Series Quick Couplings are designed for use with blow-out preventer systems on drilling rigs. The red colour on both the coupler and the nipple designates that these couplings are B.O.P. fire approved and have been fire tested to 700°C and Lloyds witnessed to meet the API 16D standard.
